Concept of Playstation 4

The Sony PlayStation 4 is said to be made of eco-friendly materials. The gaming console is expected to be made up to 60% of recyclable materials. Apart from that, it will also have a “Eco Start” feature, which will allow gamers to save and resume games, without having to switch off the console.

Additionally, it is choreographed to switch off every 30 minutes of no activity. The interesting part is that during this time, the console will self-charge automatically from a rechargeable cell. This not only saves energy, but also maintains and extends the life of the console.

Although the device is blended with eco-friendly features, it certainly needs those specifications which are essentially required for any hardcore gamers. The PlayStation 4 is expected to sport a 1.5 TB hard disk drive, which allows users to store a large number of games. It will have USB 3.0 ports along with an HDMI connect port.

History

Who don't know about Sony Playstation nowadays? Almost 80% of us knows about this game console..

Playstation as known as PS now varies from
Playstation 1 (a.k.a. PSX),

Playstation 2 (a.k.a. PS2),

Playstation 3 (a.k.a. PS3),

Playstation Portable (a.k.a. PSP),  and

Playstation Vita (PSVITA)..

Sony Computer Entertainment was famous in the video game industry in 1995, as the early 1990s were dominated by Nintendo with Sega in second place. Nintendo had dominated the video game industry since the introduction of the NES in 1985 and the Nintendo 64 was initially expected to continue Nintendo's dominance in the video game industry. Sony focused on a broader base of audiences including adults, and marketed the PlayStation for newcomers and an older age group but ignored the younger audience below 15 who are staunch in their loyalty to Nintendo and Sega. By the late 1990s, Sony became the undisputed number one video game manufacturer due to the PlayStation, with a significant lead over second-place Nintendo while Sega was relegated to a distant third.
The PlayStation's lead in installed base and developer support paved the way for the success of the next-generation PlayStation 2, which overcame an early launch from the Sega Dreamcast and then fended off competition from the Microsoft Xbox and Nintendo GameCube.
